Knowing that traveling the globe is one of my favorite things to do, you’ll understand that I’m super excited to update you all on several trips that I’ll be making the coming months. Read further to find out where exactly I’ll be going and to get a little sneak peak on what you can expect to read about on this blog the coming months.
First on the list is Brussels! I’m currently taking a course at school for which I have to travel a lot and our first journey is a day trip to Brussel. The course mainly focusses on the European Union, so visiting Brussels is a must. I’m not sure what the program will be during this trip, but I hope that we have some free time to shop! When I was in Brussels last year there were so many good stores. Unfortunately the Forever21 – which you can’t find in The Netherlands yet – has closed down in Brussels. Any recommendations on where to shop in Brussels are welcome.
Chicago and Wisconsin

And of course our annual Christmas trip to the USA is on my travel list too. My boyfriend Chris and I will once again be visiting his family in Wisconsin. We always fly on Chicago, but for some reason never have the time to drive down to the centre of Chicago to do some sightseeing. Out of our three trips to the USA I’ve only been in to heart of Chicago once! I really want to see the Chicago Bean again. Can you spot me in the picture above?
Somewhere in Europe
Another requirement to pass the course I’m taking at my University is to travel to a country of choice within Europe – this time the continent Europe – and writing two journalistic articles about something in that country. I’m not talking about a mere travel report here, I’ll have to do interviews, work with tolks and visit relevant places. We’ll be forming groups with which we’ll be traveling to the same country, however once in the country you’re on your own. I’m really excited about this trip to – insert country in Europe -!
Right before I was planning to put this article online it was revealed that my group and I will be going to Finland! We’ll be going to Finland in January, which means there will be lots of snow. Hopefully we’ll be able to see the Northern Lights – this year is supposed to be the best time in more than a decade to see this light spectacle – and go to Lapland. Anyone here knows the childrens tale of Nils Holgersson (he flew on a geese to Lapland)? Youth sentiment! Super excited about this unique opportunity. If any of you come from Finland, know anyone in Finland, visit there often or have any other connection to Finland feel free to contact me. I’ll be needing all the help I can get. The theme of our articles will be sustainability.
And last but not least Chris will be taking me to Rome for Valentines Day! He loves traveling and is super impulsive in doing this. A few days ago he was like: let’s go to Rome! The next day both our flight and hotel were booked. Being around him really brings out the better in me: I love to plan things and research every single detail before I make a big decision, this sometimes causes me to miss out on amazing opportunities. Thanks to Chris I’ve become a lot less scared of the big unknown. That being said I’m also super excited for Italian make-up stores! When in Rome… visit KIKO Cosmetics!
I hope you all are just excited about my upcoming trips as I am because I will be taking you all a long through this blog. Stay tuned for more travel, beauty, fashion and lifestyle posts!
