These days it seems like Western girls all try to make their eyebrows look like those of Cara Delevingne. The thicker, the bushier, the darker, the better. In Japan however brow trends are going a whole different direction, you could even say the opposite one, what is called ‘pastel’, ‘light’ or ‘soft’ brows are what’s hot there at the moment. Girls die, trim and even completely shave of their eyebrows in order to achieve the, in their eyes, perfect shape.
I personally prefer to have my brows looking somewhere in between these styles, probably leaning towards the Western one. Which is technically what you could describe as ‘Korean eyebrows’. As you can see in the picture below of South Korean actress Kim Tae Hee, Korean eyebrows are straight and filled in much more then the Japanese brow, but not as much as the Cara version. In an upcoming article about the differences in beauty and fashion between Korea and the Western world I will address Korean brow fashion more.
What do you think of the Japanese brow trend? Do you rather do your brows Cara Delevingne style or do you prefer the Japanese way? Or do you wear yours straight like the Koreans?
