Upcoming trips Vol.1

The coming months I’m gonna travel a lot so I thought it would be nice to share the destinations I’m gonna visit with you all. It’s like a preview of the places I’ll write about the coming time. I know that some people don’t really care about travel articles and only follow my blog because of make-up reviews or other beauty related articles. To those I say (and I know I’ve said it before) there will be more beauty articles coming up soon, I PROMISE…

1. Gyeongju – South Korea – Cherry Blossom trip – April

A hiking club from my university orginazes this trip to one of Korea’s most touristic towns, especially during the cherry blossom season, Gyeongju.  We are gonna bike around the town, sleep at a traditional Korean house (hanok), visit a shrine and hike up a mountain where lot’s of Buddha statue’s can be found. Chris will be proud of me for hiking (I still have to buy sport shoes…)

2. Okinawa – Japan – Holiday with my roommie – May
My roommate and I really wanted to go on a small trip during the semester, as I go home straight after it finishes. We first planned to visit Kyoto but this didn’t work out to well… I looked for tickets to Okinawa, a kind of tropical Japanese island, and found really cheap ones! Planning to lay on the beach (our hotel is AT the beach), visit the second largest aquarium in the world, shop, visit a castle and Pineapple park!

3. Oconomowoc – United States – Visiting my second home
Back to my second home the United States to visit Chris’ family. I’ve never been to Wisconsin in the summer and as both Chris parents houses are at a lake I bet it will be fun. Can’t wait so see everyone again. The only thing that sucks is that tickets in the summer are double the price. In the spring and during Christmas even a direct flight (or almost direct) costs 500 euro. In the summer however you pay 850 for a much more sucky flight… But it’s definitely worth it!

With love,

Hi Elise! I have just found your blog! I live in Korea and went to see the cherry blossoms in Gyeongju this year, but they came out early so I missed them. It was still so beautiful though! How was your trip?

    • Hi Maddie I totally forgot to reply to your comment! My trip to Gyeongju unfortunately was really bad… I fell very ill! The cherry blossom came super early right?! We missed it as well… I’ll be posting a lot about South Korea the coming time so if you want to read about interesting stuff to do there you can follow me through wordpress, facebook or twitter 😀

Hey Elise, hope everything is going well over there… Please send me on May, by mail, some good sushi from Japan! Cheers

    • Hey Pedro! I will 😀 *note in very small letters: the person sending the sushi can not be held responsible for any food poisoning that will most likely follow after consuming the sushi* haha! How are you?

Wow, I’m from Wisconsin 🙂 it’s really nice to hear someone is going there! It’s nice in the summer, not too hot…but last year there was a week of horrible humidity. I’ve always wanted to go to Okinawa you’re lucky~ Can’t wait to see pictures.

    • Really from where in Wisconsin? Close to Oconomowoc? That sounds good 😀 I live in The Netherlands five meters below sea level and stayed the month july (the hottest + most humid) in Japan so I don’t think Wisconsin humidity can be worse than that right :D? At least I hope so….

I’m from Waukesha, it’s about 20ish minutes away from Oconomowoc~ Haha I was there last year, I agree Japan’s is much worse >.< I like Wisconsin winters cold but pretty. The Netherlands wow~~~~ I would love to go there someday, how is the weather year round?

        • I’ve been in Waukesha super often!! We always drive there to get frozen yogurt at Yo Mama haha! You don’t have anything like that in The Netherlands. Netherlands weather is crazy all year long. It can rain one day, snow the next and be super hot the next. The only consistent thing is that it rains quite a lot through the year. As I live really close to the ocean it almost never gets extremely cold or extremely warm in my home town. But you can really notice the global warming since the weather has been even crazier then normal the past five years(with very hot and very cold periods and the season almost disappearing)!
