My favorite Youtube Make-up Guru’s

Itsjudytime

One of my favorite things to do when I’ve got some free time is watching make-up video’s on Youtube. Especially when I’m abroad Youtube becomes my daily dose of relaxation. Of course you can live without a TV, but sometimes watching a little bit of TV helps to calm down after a stressful day. I’ve also learned a of lot new make-up tips and trucs from watching make-up (and fashion/cooking/lifestyle/you name it) videos on Youtube and some guru’s really turn their tutorials into short movies. I think filming make-up tutorials/reviews/first impressions would be a great attribution to my blog, so ones my work in the fashion industry becomes a little less hectic I’ll get started on that.

Wearing a Korean traditional Hanbok

Schermafbeelding 2013-06-24 om 23.36.28 Ever since I was a little girl and saw Mulan, later on Korean dramas and even later on Memoirs of a Geisha I’ve been wanting to dress up in a gorgeous Asian dress. In Japan I didn’t get the chance but in Seoul this dream became reality as I, together with Chris and some of our friends, got to wear traditional Korean hanboks. Directions to the place where we went can be found at the bottom of the post.

Review – The Face Shop Face It Styling Auto Gel Liner

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Upon arrival in Seoul I discovered that I had left my Sephora waterproof contour eye pencil at home! In blind panic I googled for a Sephora in South Korea, not even just Seoul…, and had to face the fact (geddit) that they don’t sell here. While out and about I randomly walked into one of the many beauty stores that can be found in the South Korean capital. After swatching a few pencils I picked out the ‘FACE it STYLING auto GEL LINER’ in 02 Edge Brown for 7700 Won (5 euro/6,6 dollar) from the Face Shop. Now the name might sound a bit confusing as the product I’m talking about is a pencil liner and not a jar filled with gel liner. Every new product I buy, I put to the test; which this time included humid Asian weather.

What’s different – Girl-product facts Asia

tampons

When packing your suitcase to go abroad there will always be these little things of which you think ‘o they will have that over there’, but some (girl) products that you will ‘obviously’ find in European and American (drug)stores might actually not be available. I experienced this first-hand being in Seoul South Korea. Here’s a list of products/clothes that you might want to put in your bag before leaving on your holiday to Asia, and especially when moving abroad for a longer period of time. This post is mainly directed towards girls, but guys you are obviously free to read it too.

#Personal – In the hospital during midterms

Ziekenhuis As you can see from the date of my previous post I haven’t been active on The Beauty Suitcase the past month and a half at all. Currently I’m in Seoul South Korea as an international student. A few weeks ago, one week before my midterms, I went on this field trip to the South East of South Korea to this beautiful town called Gyeongju. There I got really sick, so sick that the morning after we got back to Seoul, I had to rush to the hospital where I got admitted to the ER with a fever of 40,1 C. For the people that don’t follow this blog/know me personally; I’ll explain a lot about Korean hospitals in this entry (skip to paragraph elven).
