What is your most liked picture on Instagram? Mine is one of two macarons on a Laduree napkin. When it happend I couldn’t believe it. After all these ‘selfies’ and beautiful travel pictures I get my most likes ever on a picture involving two colorful French cookies! Then I remembered a blog post one of my favorite Malaysian bloggers Cheesie wrote on how to make it to the Instagram popular page using #macaron. Enough about macarons, lets take a look at my past two weeks (including a few sneak peak pictures of Rome!).
Thé infamous macaron picture.
I love arriving home in my little (ex) farm village after having spend the day in the busy city of Utrecht.
Last week I posted this outfit that I created using multiple ‘animal’ items. Check it out here!
I am going to miss you little Gurt during my internship, when I come back you will probably be a whole lot bigger.
A Dutch meal with an American twist: poffertjes (small and a little thick pancakes) with blueberries, butter (tha more buttah tha bettah) and powder sugar.
And I’m going to miss this pretty lady too. I had to take a picture when I saw her laying like this. Isn’t she cute?
First breakfast in Rome! It seems like the Italians enjoy a light but very sweet breakfast as all we got were a latte and a sweet pastry, which were both super delicious though!
The first thing visited in when we arrived in Rome was the colosseum. Some people said they found it to be rather disappointing, but for me it was the high light of my trip. Although I think it would have been even better if we had a Dutch guide, because a good tour can really bring things to life. A couple that we run into had a privet Dutch tour guide, I hung around them for a little while and the stories she told were lovely!
When visiting the colosseum I had chills running down my spine by the thought that people where murdered here for no reason. Christians where thrown in front of the lions just because of their religion. May everyone that died in that place rest in peace.
The Trevi fountain. The fountain itself is beautiful, but what you don’t see in this picture is the immense crowd standing around it haha!
More pictures (and a vlog!) of Rome to come in an upcoming travel post! So stay tuned for that and other fun articles.
