Malls with floors of marmer and filled to the brim with the most luxurious stores, Hummers and Ferrari’s everywhere and wealthy ladies with several nanny’s running after their children. This has been my reality here in Dubai for the past week. I’m currently visiting my father who’s here for work commitments and I can truly say that is feel as if I’m living in a golden bubble.
You can consider this #personal post a ‘preview’ of what’s to come; my boyfriend Chris has been filming and taking amazing pictures. Expect a long travel post and vlog about Dubai!
Getting ready for a day out in the town!
The first night we had dinner at the foot of the Burj Khalifa. Here you’re treated to an amazing fountain show every half our. It was absolutely gorgeous to watch while the sun was setting. Keep an eye out for this in our upcoming vlog!
View from the Burj Khalifa!
Loving my new Arabian printed pants! You can read the full outfit post HERE.
Hello from the back of a camel! We went on a desert safari tour and camel riding was part of the package.
I have to admit it was a lot scarier then I thought it would be. The poor camels probably weren’t to excited about all these people on their back as they were quite grumpy. Can’t really blame them can we?
Got this lovely henna tattoo done during the same trip! Got to document it as it’s only temporary.
The hotel were staying at is absolutely lovely. At the pool crisp white towels will be spread out for you on a lounger while refreshments are being served. I have to admit that I could get used to this life.
While catching some rays I’ve been reading Harry Potter. Yes, I’ll admit, this is my first time reading the books. And yes, they are extremely addicting. I’ve already bought the second book here at a book store in Dubai!
After relaxing poolside we went of to the spice market, known in Dubai as the Spice Souq. The surroundings were quite the contrast from our luxurious hotel, but it was all very interesting too see.
We crossed the Dubai Creek with a little boat known as an ‘Abra’ to visit yet another Souq.
And while being on a holiday is extremely fun, I’m also looking forward to cuddling my kitties again!
Can’t wait to give Zuzu some belly rubs and cuddle with my little Gurt.

That sunset! It all sounds and looks very luxurious, is that in every part of Dubai? And no way, you’re just now jumping on the HP train – well better now than never =]

Not in every part for sure! The souqs are in quite a poor neighborhood. I know right! But In a way: the new cover art for HP only came out this July!
