REVIEW | ZIAJA MARINE ALGAE LINE

Good morning, afternoon, evening or whatever it may be when you are reading this! The weather has been getting stormy again and I’m secretly starting to look forward to autumn. I decided – after a couple months of testing – that it was time to take the new products Ziaja send me to the beach and shoot some product pictures for a review.

Ziaja Algae line

The products I got to try out this time are all from the Marine Algae line. Here is what Ziaja has to say about it: For cleansing and treating dry skin and normal 30+ skin. Softens and strengthens the skin. Intensive cleanse. Hydrates and prevents the skin from drying out. Strengthens the elastic ability of the skin. Contains multiple algaes and seaweeds, canola oil, vitamin E and pro-vitamine B5.

Tip: the packaging says the line is meant for 30+ women, but like the description above states this line can also be used by people who have dry skin. This is true for almost all skincare products designed for the aging skin. Products like this are in general just a lot richer than products meant for younger skin. If you’re younger and have oily skin I would not recommend using this line, but if you have dry skin like me and you don’t fall in the 30+ category yet go ahead and use them until your heart is content!

MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER

Ziaja Algae Micellar Cleansing water
The first product of the Marine Algae line by Ziaja that I tried out is the micellar cleansing water. To be honest there is not much I can say about this product except for the fact that it does what it should: removing facial makeup. It has little to no scent and doesn’t leave any residue on the skin. Be warned not to use this micellar water to remove your eye makeup, because it will sting.

SMOOTHING EYE CREAM

Ziaja Algae eye cream
I was a little less enthusiastic about the eye cream. It feels nice on my skin, but I don’t feel like it instantly smoothes out my fine lines like some of the other other eye creams by Ziaja – for example the corn flower eye cream – do. Never the less it’s a nice eye cream to strengthen the delicate skin under your eyes and keep it moisturized.

SMOOTHING ENZYME PEELING

Ziaja Algae Peeling
On the other hand I’m super enthusiastic about the smoothing enzyme peeling. What an amazing product this is! After several flights and a ton of American junk food my skin started to break out. Little red impurities began to appear everywhere. My skin desperately needed a pick-me-up! I used the peeling and instantly noticed improvement. My skin was glowing again and over the course of the next few days the red spots started to fade. The best thing about this peeling is that it did not dry out my skin nor did it irritate it. Ziaja advises to not use this peeling more than twice a week.

Ziaja Algae 30+
I really like Ziaja products and the Marine Algae line makes a create addition to my collection.  Ziaja’s Marine Algae line consists of seven products in total: the micellar water, enzyme peeling, eye cream, facial mask, shower gel, a hydrating cream, a firming cream and a face mask . You can check them all out on the Ziaja site of your country.
