Upcoming Trips Vol. 6

I sure wasn’t planning on releasing another upcoming trips post this year. We just came back from Dubai and are going to New York, Chicago and Wisconsin for Christmas, but we managed to squeeze another trip in between. Keep reading to find out where we’re going!

VALENCIA

The reason that Chris, my boyfriend and the main photographer of this blog, and I are going to this lovely town on the Spanish coast is to visit a long-time friend. I don’t know a whole lot about the city of Valencia to be honest. All I know is that the structure above is known as the Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias and that you can have great paella in Valencia. However, I’m most looking forward to having our friends delicious food again. I dare to argue that he is the best non-professional cook in all of Spain, maybe even Europe.

NEW YORK

Every Christmas Chris, who is American, and I fly to the USA to spend time with his family. This year we decided to do things a little different; instead of flying straight into Chicago and driving up to Wisconsin from there, we decided to spend a few days in New York with his dad and stepmom. I’m super excited as I’ve heard a lot of inspiring stories (and songs!) about the streets of New York.

CHICAGO

From New York we’ll fly into Chicago, from there it’s a two-hour drive into the state of Wisconsin to reach my boyfriends home town of Oconomowoc (yeah, try pronouncing that!). Usually we try to go down to Chicago for a visit when we’re in the USA. I really would love to see the Bean (see the picture above) again. Can you spot me in that picture by the way?

Do you have any trips coming up? Have you every been to any of the destinations listed above? If so, any tips on things to see or do?

With Love,

Elise Mooijman

That’s a lot of travelling on the agenda! Christmas in Amerika, I always imagine it way bigger than here, more Home Alone scenery and nope I’ve never been to any of those places except for Chicago but that was a long time ago, but New York has always been on the list.

Now I’m under a bit of pressure to keep the expectations up! 😛
