It’s time for another ‘upcoming trips’. I’ve got a bunch of trips planned for the coming month that I’d like to update you guys on! You can kind of view it as a sneak peak of countries (and beauty products from these countries) I’ll be featuring on The Beauty Suitcase the coming time.
First stop ANSBACH, GERMANY
We’re gonna make a road trip from Delft to the American army base in Ansbach to visit Chris’ military friend from college and his family. For you that don’t know, my boyfriend Chris is American. I’m very excited to see everyone again and can’t wait to do some sightseeing in Germany. It will be the first time that I’ll be seeing an American army base from the inside instead of from behind the gates (there is a base in Okinawa and Seoul, places I recently visited). I heard they sell Italian make-up brand KiKO in Germany so I hope to pick some up!
Second stop STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
Ok so I won’t really be going to into Stockholm, we are having an overnight transfer here for our flight to the USA. We arrive at 22.00 and leave at 10.00 the next morning. Since a ticket for the high speed train that runs from the airport to down town Stockholm costs 30 euro each Chris and I have decided not to go into town. Bummer! But we booked a nice hotel with a breakfast buffet and I might be able to do some airport shopping. Would love to really visit Stockholm one day.
Third stop THE USA (Illinois and Wisconsin)
Visiting my home sweet second home of Wisconsin! We’ll arrive at Chicago airport (and hopefully make a trip down there as well) and then drive up to the loveliest town of the USA: Oconomowoc. You have no idea how hard that word is to pronounce for a non-native english speaker. But after hanging around an American for 1,5 year I think I nailed it. Chris and I are going to the States to visit all of his family and friends. You have no idea how excited I am to see everyone and everything again. And for all the shopping I hope to get done hehe… Sweetie are you bringing your credit card?!
Stop I’m hoping to make HELSINKI, FINLAND (and a paradise known as Lapland..)
During my stay in South Korea I met two lovely Finnish girls. I was supposed to visit them in Helsinki this August, but things didn’t workout with my work. I grew up watching the Swedish cartoon Nils Holgersson , a story about a naughty little boy flying to ‘Lapland’ with a bunch of geese. Ever since then the word Lapland in my head equals paradise. I’m hoping to make it up to Helsinki this October! and maybe, maybe to Lapland as well.
