When you are studying (or working) at home non-stop with your hair in a messy bun and zero makeup on, going out on town for a cup of coffee all of a sudden becomes an occasion to dress up for! In this post I show you have I created this ‘Coffee Break’ look with lash lift supplies from https://lashliftstore.com. I kept the eye makeup looking natural, but added a pop of color on the lips.
BASE + EYES
First I applied all of my everyday products (clockwise): the Instant Age Rewind concealer by Maybelline (best concealer ever!), eyebrow pencil by Catrice, True Match blush in Rose Bonne Minnie by L’oreal and the Chocolate Soleil bronzer by Too Faced. If you are curious about my ‘everyday look’ check out THIS post in which I explain how I do my daily makeup step-by-step.
After applying my everyday products I created a simple eye look using the EM Michelle Night Life Palette. I used the two top shades from ‘Dinner at Eight’, which is the bottom right palette, as a base. I used the grey shade from ‘Happy Hour’, the bottom left palette, to define my crease. I skipped eyeliner, because I wanted to keep my makeup looking somewhat natural.
My current favorite mascara (Mega Volume Miss Manga by L’oreal) was completely empty so I decided to try out a mascara that I had never tried before: The Volum’ Express Colossal Washable Mascara in Glam Black by Maybelline. I absolutely love the curved brush of this mascara! It makes applying mascara to your bottom lashes a lot easier. However, the mascara itself does not do much for my lashes. It just does not give me the volume I was hoping for and even makes my lashes a little ‘droopy’.
To finish off the look I applied a mixture of the two red lip shades from the ‘Dinner at Eight’ section of my EM Michelle Phan Night Life Palette. This palette is absolutely amazing, all of the shadows and lip shades are extremely pigmented. A detailed review of this palette is still coming up.
p.s. I passed my first exam! Yeeayy!
