Quite a dramatic change from my previous diary post title. That’s right, no more partying in the USA, I’m back in school *unfortunately*. Lately I’ve found myself not enjoying journalism school as much as I used to. The class is fun, the teachers are great and the subject is Magazines, which is something I’m very fond of, but for some reason I’m just not having it. I just feel that, thanks to my freelance work, I know the ins and outs of journalism. Luckily my Korean friend Eunjin is here in The Netherlands (for a year!) and cheered me up with some Korean makeup goodies. Also this week my boyfriend Chris and I made a delicious dinner and I had my first hot cacao of this fall. Will you look at me at my picture diary of the past week?
LETS ALL GET INTO THE BUS!
I had my very first Cheerios breakfast, with of course my favorite: Chai Tea. Cheerios is a very famous American cereal, and I believe one of the healthiest out there. Chris and I got several packages of cereal from our American friends when we visited the army base in Germany. Currently I’m having a cold that’s so bad I can’t even smell my chai tea. Any chai tea drinker will understand how stuffed your nose must be if you can’t smell chai tea.
Managed to wiggle my way into the bus. Anyone else gets dry red patches underneath there nose from excessive nose blowing when having a cold? #firstworldproblems
My Korean friend Eunjin is in The Netherlands for an entire year. She’s currently doing an exchange at a university very near Chris’ house. I made her try ‘bitterballen’, a Dutch deep fried battered meat specialty. She loved it! When in Holland you have to eat either ‘kroket’ (a bigger oval shaped version of the snacks you see above) or ‘bitterballen’
My parents cat Zuzu loves watching tv and youtube.
Took the bike out for a ride! Just joking, I rode on the back with my dad. Hopefully one day I’ll get motorcycle license.

We made bagels with smoked chicken, avocado, pine seeds, rocket and home made honey mustard for dinner. Yummerz!
To go with that we made some bacon, pepper, egg and onion quiches from scratch.
My friend Renate and her boyfriend Stefan invited us over for dinner and our first hot cacao of the season. Renate is super creative and made this amazing canvas. Why can’t I make things like that?!
Last but not least a classmate tripped over my macbook charger and broke it… luckily everything will be settled through the insurance, and I got a new one, but being a blogger and a journalist not being able to charge my laptop kinda freaked me out for a bit!
Have you gone back to school/work? And did someone ever break something of you or you of someone else?
